Activate Your Card

Getting your PIN is easy. Simply send us a text message that reads - PIN {Last eight digits of your 16 digit Range Prepaid MasterCard number}. This is the number on the front of your Range card as shown below.

For example if your card number is 5329160011234000. The message you should send to us should read:

PIN 12340000

Once we receive this message we will activate your card and return an SMS to your phone with your PIN. Please keep your PIN safe and do not reveal it to anyone.

Once you've got your PIN and loaded your card it's ready to use in-store, online and at 30 million locations worldwide.

Load funds onto your Range Prepaid MasterCard - Load Command

• Allows you to load your own card using your debit card that is pre-registered on the system
• Text "LOAD " <Last 4 digits of your Card Number><Amount>" to +44 (0) 762 480 0932
• Example: LOAD 1234 5000
• Note that the amount is expressed in the currency of your Range Prepaid MasterCard. So in the example above either £50.00/€50.00/$50.00 was loaded depending on the currency of your card.

Transfer funds from your Range Prepaid MasterCard to another Range Prepaid MasterCard - using recipient card number

• If you know the card number of the Range Prepaid MasterCard you would like to transfer funds to use then:
• Text " TOCARD <Last 4 digits of your Card Number><Recipient card Number><Amount> to +44 (0) 762 480 0932
• Example: TOCARD 1234 5299650000000000 1000
• The card number entered is the card number of the person you are transferring funds to. Note that the amount is expressed in the currency of the sending in pence/US cents/Euro cent. So in the example above 10.00 Pounds, Euros or Dollars would have been sent depending on the currency of your card.

Transfer funds to another Range Prepaid MasterCard - using the recipient mobile number

• If you don't know the card number of the person you would like to transfer funds to, you can use their mobile phone number (if they have registered their number to their card).
• Text "SEND <Last 4 digits of your card Number><Recipient Mobile phone number><Amount>" to +44 (0) 762 480 0932
• Example: SEND 1234 00447974171234 1000
• Note that the amount is expressed in the currency of the sending Range Prepaid MasterCard (in £ pence/€ cents/$ cent. So in the example above 10.00 Pounds, Euros or Dollars would have been sent depending on the currency of the sending card.

If you would like to know the current balance on your Range Prepaid MasterCard then:

• Text "BALANCE<Last 4 digits of your Card Number>" to +44 (0) 762 480 0932
• Example: BALANCE 1234
• You will receive an instant SMS back with the up-to-date balance on your card

Please note that this command is intended to be used for temporarily locking your card to stop others attempting to use it or if you do not wish to use it for an extended period of time. If you suspect that your card is lost or has been stolen, you should contact customer services on +44 (0)207 125 0321 immediately.

Lock Command

• To temporarily prevent any withdrawals from cash machines (ATMs) and purchases via retailers (POS), you can lock your Range Prepaid MasterCard using the following command:
• Text: "LOCK<Last 4 digits of Card Number> " to +44 (0) 762 480 0932
• Example: LOCK 1234

Unlock Command

• To reverse the lock option
• Text: "UNLOCK<Last 4 digits of Card Number> " to +44 (0) 762 480 0932
• Example: UNLOCK 1234

• You do not need to memorise or know all these commands by heart. You can always view these commands online on the website or if you don't have access to the internet, you can view the SMS commands with the instruction below

• You will receive a message back with instructions on how to use the SMS system.
